SEVEN reasons to fall in love with THREE-storey living

Our three-bedroom, three-storey homes have bags of space and stacks of flexibility.

More and more people are raising the roof and opting for townhouse living with more floors.

Why have two when you can have three….

  1. Get loads more living space

Our homes boast spacious open plan living on the ground floor, with a kitchen, dining area and snug – perfect for spending quality time together. BUT with our three storeys you also get a second living space on the first floor. Forget fighting over control over the TV remote or quiet contemplation vs. social gatherings – the additional living space a floor away means you don’t have to be at loggerheads over how to spend that precious free time.

  1. A home to suit your lifestyle

With extra living spaces and bedrooms over more floors, a three-storey home can adapt as your lifestyle changes. Whether your future features new family members or new hobbies, the space can flex to your needs. The only limit is your imagination … lush home office, kids’ gaming corner, private cinema, a cosy reading nook, pamper room?

  1. Give the kids their own space…

Families in particular are seeing the benefits of split-level living, with the ability to configure the house to give youngsters their own space and sense of independence as they grow. Want a safe play space to keep an eye on them whilst you make dinner? There’s a ground floor living area that makes a perfect play den. Or what about the racket from your teen’s full-size drumkit? Well, that’s surely a pastime for the top floor!

  1. … Or create a relaxing adult retreat

Why not turn the whole third floor into an adult sanctuary, with master bedroom, bathroom and dedicated dressing room. Living over three floors creates much better separation between zones of the house, with spaces reserved for kicking-back and relaxing, away from the home’s main hub. It makes it easier to psychologically switch off as you move from floor to floor.

  1. Never get caught short…

Queuing for the bathroom or running up and downstairs is a thing of the past. Our three-storey homes have a loo on every floor (including our amazing toilet-come-utility ‘lootility’ on the ground floor), as well as an en-suite shower room and family bathroom. It gives yet more flexibility to configure the house as you want, without worrying about a midnight dash down stairs when nature calls!

  1. … And never bump your head

People often think three-storey living means living in roof space, with reduced headroom to boot. Not at Northstone. The design of our three-storey homes means you get the same floor and ceiling space on the top floor as you do on the ground, meaning no danger of bumping your head on inconvenient sloping ceilings. Plus … the extra height means you can see beyond the rooftops to take in the stunning views and surrounding green spaces.

  1. Make it your own, sustainable home

Our three-storey homes are super sustainable, built in a way the reduces energy consumption and packed with kit to make them more efficient. It means you don’t have to lose sleep over sky-high energy bills from an inefficient house … just what to do with that extra space!
