Northstone breaks ground at Rossfield Park site

Northstone, the Northern-based homebuilder, has begun work on its latest development, coming to Ellesmere Port. It will be completing the final phase of the major regeneration project of Rossfield Park, a former industrial site initially granted outline planning permission for residential development in 2005.

Glisk, meaning a gleam of sunshine, will provide 218 energy-efficient two-, three- and four-bedroom homes for private sale, including 22 affordable homes for affordable rent and shared ownership.

As well as bringing beautiful and sustainable homes as part of Glisk, Northstone is committed to creating a thriving community for local residents. This will include a large central area of open space for residents to come together, natural play facilities, and improved pedestrian and cycle links to benefit both new and existing Ellesmere Port residents.

With a focus on intuitive design and innovation, Northstone homes are created with residents in mind. Key features include leading home appliances and smart technology which adjusts lighting and heating automatically according to a resident’s daily routine. Homes can be tailored according to resident preferences, with homebuyers able to choose the ground floor layout up to a certain build stage to create their ideal space.

Sustainable elements, such as triple-glazed Velfac windows, ensure Northstone’s developments are better for the environment now, and in the future.

Craig Nutter, Operations Director at Northstone, part of Peel L&P, said: “Rossfield Park is unique in that it is a location which has already seen vast regeneration. We are proud to be the final piece in the puzzle, and helping this community take shape as Glisk. As well as creating homes future residents will love, we’ll be enhancing the local landscape and wildlife, as well as providing outdoor facilities for wider public use.

“As with all our communities, Glisk will be geared towards more sustainable living. From smart home technology to innovative insulation, our homes create the conditions for our residents to make greener choices long after they move in.”

ADM are currently on site carrying out land preparation works ahead of the build process commencing.

Glisk is expected to launch in autumn 2022.
