Cutting-edge technology is engrained into our homes to make your life easier. All Northstone homes come fitted with a Wondrwall as standard. This smart piece of tech allows you to automate your heating, lighting and security while reducing energy use. The energy-efficient motion sensor lights reduce energy consumption, while the advanced smart burglar alarm keeps you safe and secure in your home.
Throughout the homes, we focus on tech which fits seamlessly into your lifestyle – whether that’s smart appliances from Samsung and Hoover, a Sonos speaker with Amazon Alexa, a Samsung tablet or an iParcel Box (more on that later).
And we understand how important it is to stay connected, which is why all Northstone homes come with hyper-fast Grain broadband guaranteed from move-in day.
Forward-thinking sustainability projects
From choosing the land and the build process, through to when you’ve moved in and made your home yours, we are committed to having a positive impact on the environment and our communities.
Embedded sustainability is something that truly sets Northstone homes apart and drives our thinking. Our waste capture scheme, which you can read more about here, allows us to work on minimising waste during the construction process. Triple-glazed windows create even stronger insulation and all of our homes can be fitted with an electric vehicle charger, helping you make sustainable transport choices.
The iParcel Box, a handy tool which enables you to connect your post-box to your phone so you can accept deliveries even when you aren’t home, also has a positive impact on the environment, as it means fewer second delivery trips. And by not having a post box in your front-door, the house is more insulated and takes even less energy to keep warm!
Even the smallest things can make a huge difference, and we’re constantly looking for new ways to innovate in this space.
Revolutionary house types
Our homes are designed to work for you. We take inspiration from cultures across the world to create spaces that evolve with the needs of the population. From homes designed to accommodate multigenerational living, to catering for the needs of hybrid workers we think about the needs of our residents now and in the future. Later this year we’ll be launching a brand new house type, with more to follow over the next 12 months.
Innovate means that we are constantly adapting and moving forward. We think about every element of our homes and the housebuilding process through this lens, enabling us to create spaces that are designed entirely around the people that live in them and can be enjoyed for years to come.
