Now in its second phase at **Abri**, the programme continues to go from strength to strength.   Today, the spotlight was on joinery, with students taking part in a **practical session focused on roof trusses**. Under the expert guidance of **Jay from Prayle Joinery**, the students didn’t just learn — they got stuck in, building a roof section themselves and gaining valuable experience in the process.   A huge thank you goes to Jay for generously sharing his time, skills, and knowledge with the students — and to **Nova Maloney**, who made the visit possible by coordinating and bringing the group to site. Your support is what makes the 7UP Programme such a success.   We’re incredibly proud of the students and grateful to all our partners for making these learning opportunities a reality.   - ![e7060d0c-5d09-49c6-9551-09ba7852bf02-1](https://hub.northstone.co.uk/hs-fs/hubfs/e7060d0c-5d09-49c6-9551-09ba7852bf02-1.jpeg?width=1600&height=1200&name=e7060d0c-5d09-49c6-9551-09ba7852bf02-1.jpeg) Hover message - ![546dbb16-276c-450d-8496-af4ee07fc675-2](https://hub.northstone.co.uk/hs-fs/hubfs/546dbb16-276c-450d-8496-af4ee07fc675-2.jpeg?width=1200&height=1600&name=546dbb16-276c-450d-8496-af4ee07fc675-2.jpeg) Hover message - ![5ad0193c-de60-4102-9be5-cc6a70e71425-1](https://hub.northstone.co.uk/hs-fs/hubfs/5ad0193c-de60-4102-9be5-cc6a70e71425-1.jpeg?width=1600&height=1200&name=5ad0193c-de60-4102-9be5-cc6a70e71425-1.jpeg) Hover message - ![4e076e66-9aa9-4fbc-92b3-4c310a74a8b8-1](https://hub.northstone.co.uk/hs-fs/hubfs/4e076e66-9aa9-4fbc-92b3-4c310a74a8b8-1.jpeg?width=1600&height=1200&name=4e076e66-9aa9-4fbc-92b3-4c310a74a8b8-1.jpeg) Hover message ## Related Stories [![](https://hub.northstone.co.uk/hs-fs/hubfs/zach-and-his-winning-design.jpg?width=352&name=zach-and-his-winning-design.jpg)](https://hub.northstone.co.uk/budding-designers-from-local-school-wow-judges-in-interior-design-competition) Community #### [Budding designers from local school wow judges in interior design competition](https://hub.northstone.co.uk/budding-designers-from-local-school-wow-judges-in-interior-design-competition) [Read More](https://hub.northstone.co.uk/budding-designers-from-local-school-wow-judges-in-interior-design-competition) [![7up and Northstone](https://hub.northstone.co.uk/hs-fs/hubfs/featured%20image%20edit.jpg?width=352&name=featured%20image%20edit.jpg)](https://hub.northstone.co.uk/next-generation-7-up) Featured #### [We're bringing through the next generation with 7up!](https://hub.northstone.co.uk/next-generation-7-up) [Read More](https://hub.northstone.co.uk/next-generation-7-up) [![Year 8 pupils return to Keld](https://hub.northstone.co.uk/hs-fs/hubfs/Year%208%20reurn%20to%20Keld.jpeg?width=352&name=Year%208%20reurn%20to%20Keld.jpeg)](https://hub.northstone.co.uk/northstone-welcomes-year-8-pupils-back-to-keld-to-witness-their-plots-taking-shape) Community #### [Year 8 Pupils Return to Keld as Northstone Project Takes Shape](https://hub.northstone.co.uk/northstone-welcomes-year-8-pupils-back-to-keld-to-witness-their-plots-taking-shape) [Read More](https://hub.northstone.co.uk/northstone-welcomes-year-8-pupils-back-to-keld-to-witness-their-plots-taking-shape) Sign up to our newsletter ###### Socials - [Follow us on Facebook Facebook](https://www.facebook.com) - [Follow us on Instagram Instagram](https://www.facebook.com/northstoneuk/) - [Follow us on Twitter Twitter](https://twitter.com/northstoneuk/) - [Follow us on LinkedIn LinkedIn](https://www.linkedin.com/company/northstoneuk/) - [Follow us on Facebook YouTube](https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCy_EBt7OYmDZ2iDopjA9fFQ) ###### Contact Details Venus Building 1 Old Park Lane, TraffordCity, Manchester, M41 7HA info@northstone.co.uk 0161 629 8220 ###### About Northstone - [The New Homes Quality Code](https://northstone.co.uk/the-new-homes-quality-code/) - [Customer Care](https://northstone.co.uk/neighbourhub/) - [Design Approach](https://northstone.co.uk/design-approach/) - [Careers](https://northstone.co.uk/careers/) - [About](https://northstone.co.uk/about/) - [Community and Social Value](https://northstone.co.uk/community-and-social-value/) - [Terms of Use](https://northstone.co.uk/app/uploads/2026/06/Website-Terms-of-Use.pdf) ###### About Northstone Northstone, part of the Peel Group, is an established, award-winning northern placemaker renowned for delivering quality, innovative homes.
