Buyers get first look at Bolton’s new energy-efficient homes as demand in the town climbs

Neighbours have been given a first look at their energy efficient new homes in Bolton as we unveiled the first of our 105 homes at Airie – the community just off St Helen’s Road – with a special get together for soon-to-be neighbours.

Demand for new homes in Bolton continues to climb. Whilst we have only just opened our show homes and Huddle for prospective buyers to take a look around, already 90% of the first phase have been reserved.

With concern about rising energy bills dominating headlines, our new build homes are made to be super energy efficient – rated EPC B and packed with kit to conserve energy use and lower monthly bills.

Airie boasts homes for those just getting on the housing ladder, as well as larger properties ideal for growing families. When complete, the community will feature 15 two-bedroom; 52 three-bedroom and 38 four-bedroom homes, with a mix of styles and sizes. They’ll sit within a green neighbourhood, with lush planting and open spaces for new and existing residents.

Anita Jolley, Sales Director, at Northstone, said:

“We’re immensely proud to be continuing our story of investing in much-needed new homes in Bolton. People often have a negative view of new build homes, but we’re determined to tackle that head on. We’re doing so by committing to considered, high quality design and making sure our communities are green, welcoming and accessible.

“The proof is in the pudding. Already, we’ve already had one family move in and got buyers lined up to call Airie home and it was lovely to see them getting to know each other for the first time on site. The build is going well and we’re thrilled to open our show homes so people can come have a look for themselves.”

Airie is our second site in Bolton, with final homes now remaining at Silkash in Westhoughton.

The neighbourhood party at Airie saw buyers gather for a tour of the site, as well as sample the delights from foodie businesses The Little Green Platter Company and The Thirsty Mares.

Savita Kalyan is among those who’ve already moved in. The family purchased a home at Airie having moved from the local area.

“From the high ceilings and big windows, to the energy saving measures and loads of greenery – it’s really difficult to find a place with all these features when you’re looking to buy a house.

“We already lived in Bolton but saw the new homes being built and thought we’d take a look. We were blown away by Northstone’s designs and haven’t been disappointed with both the process and ease of buying, as well as our finished home. It was brilliant to meet our new neighbours too.”

Northstone, part of Peel L&P, set out to challenge perceptions of new builds with innovative design features including big windows, high ceilings and adaptable spaces, with their first sites built in Bolton.

The next phase of homes for sale at Airie start from £300,000, with viewings now available to book here.

The company is currently gearing up to launch new sites in Wigan and Cheshire, with homes already for sale in Barrowford (Lancashire).
